DIY Table Plans - Instructions

I have created an array of table plan mounts for you to print off, to make your table plans look that little bit more special. The mounts are listed under 'Table Plan Mounts' on this site.

To make your 3D table Plan just follow the following simple steps:-

Materials needed

Card
Sticky pads (available from most craft supplies and stationers)
A back board to attach your table plan to ( this need to be quite stiff so as not to bend) coloured boards are available from most craft shops

Step 1

Purchase some card in the colour of your choice, load it into your printer and print the mounts you require for the number of tables you have. The mounts are pre sized and should accommodate up to 10 guests.

Step 2

Cut out each mount, do not cut out the centre blank as this will be where your guests names will be glued to.

Step 3

Type up each table on your PC in a script of your choice and cut out the table name in an oblong which is exactly the size of the 'blank' in the centre of the mount.

Do this for all your tables.

Step 4

Place a sticky foam pad approx. 5mm from each edge of the back of each tables names and in the centre and attach it to the blank in the centre of the mount. You should now have a 3D table of names.

Do this for all your tables

Step 5

Place sticky pads on the back of the printed mount in the same way as you added the guests names, position and attach to the back board.

Step 6

Attach any embellishments i.e. padded hearts, butterflies etc to make your table plan look amazing

Hey presto, you've made a stunning table plan for your wedding

Easy DIY fresh flower tablecentre

Another goldfish bowl idea is to stick and oasis 'frog' (looks like a plastic small table) which are available at all florists for about 10p each, add some florists tack (available at all frorists (it's like plastercine but waterproof and very sticky).

Cut a square of oasis foam soak it in water and push it onto the prongs of the 'frog' purchase 3 gerbras (approx £1.35 each) from your florist/supermarket.

Cut and push 1 of the gerbras into the oasis at the base of the bowl, the next slightly higher so leave a little more stem. Fill in the oasis with ivy or thistles (as in the photo) until you cant see it.

Then cut the last gerbra, leave a longer stem and pus it into the top of the oasis so it just comes out of the bowl.

For an additional contempoary effect you can swirl some 'bear grass or steel grass) available from all florists (quite cheaply) around the inside of the bowl. You may want to thread some beads or crystals onto the grass before placing in the bowl for an extra special look.

Surround with tea lights and Voila, an inexpensive table centre for you to make.
